Ron Ross
Co-Founder, Forbix Financial
Ron grew up in the Greater Los Angeles area where he currently resides. He received a BS in Finance from Pepperdine University.
He began his career on Wall Street at Merrill Lynch where at the age of 23, he obtained his General Securities and Commodity Broker licenses. He later formed a non-bank dealer in which his firm was a market maker in the Interbank Foreign Exchange Market with weekly transactional volume exceeding $1 Billion.
For over 25 years, Ron traded equity and interest-rate derivative products. In 2001, he transitioned into real estate and mortgage banking where his expertise in finance proved invaluable. His real estate experience spans new development, acquisition and repositioning of distressed properties as well as asset management.
In 2012, Ron co-founded Forbix, an FHA Title II lender.
Emil Khodorkovsky
Co-Founder
Emil immigrated to Harrisburg, PA, at the age of 10. He attended Penn State University and then transferred to Cal State Northridge to study finance and real estate. He currently resides in the San Fernando Valley with his wife and son.
In 2001, Emil began his career at a mortgage company and quickly advanced to become a partner of the firm. During his tenure, he began investing in real estate through private trust deeds, acquisition of performing and non-performing debt, and properties. In 2012, he co-founded Forbix Financial.
His areas of expertise include real estate finance, asset management and construction. He has also acted as a court-appointed receiver of real estate properties in California. Clients value his advice in real estate related matters including 1031 exchanges, multi-family developments, CMBS financing, and FHA Apartment and Construction financing.
To foster his belief in giving back, Emil is an active board member of the LAPD Youth Foundation and NFTE. Additionally, he founded the Forbix Youth Education Fund, a non-profit organization providing support and mentorship for young entrepreneurs residing in low-income communities.
